BACKGROUND TO GEOMANCY – II

by Stephen Oannes.

We deal with the same principle on 3 levels:

Chinese geomancy is called Feng-Shui.  Feng = wind, shui = water.  Try to use its learning for further investigation into our own situation in Albion/Noden.  Its starting point is the compass.  Needle faced south (!) Briefly, to start using its principles in England we sight it upon what lines of hills converge on our site and what water courses drain this energy away.

Dips are yin, hills are yang.  The Chinese geomancer sets his compass up in dips.  The English one might therefore be considered rather an evil person!  He is out for power!  Straight lines of hills build up higher dragon power that s/he is certain to meet many more nature spirits.  These phenomena are not provable because they depend upon an alchemical routine in the human body which makes up the energy such spirits also have.  Scientists are unlikely to have such a routine.  It can be trained.  If you have this routine – something akin in the outside cosmos will pop up.  Don’t be afraid, it is emotion initiated and should be held on to.

But we also have our benign side, the ground Zodiacs which are about harnessing favourable factors.  Various compass directions are given one of the 5 (Chinese) element attributions:

Destructive and constructive combinations are thence available – this is how a site is given a good prognostication or otherwise.  It is an art whose theory has decayed a little but is restored by check with general cosmic principles given here:

Our scale factor comes out in Chinese geomancy as rings 7, 21, 30 of the Lo-Ching Chieh (explanation of the compass).  These are 3 lots of 24 positions of the compass.

Sights according to Man

A woman should know her menstrual cycle.

A man the 13 lunar time cycles.

Both should know when the major 5 times of the year occur when energies in the human body which are also in the weather are at a high.

They are:

Feb 20thMay 5thJuly 17thSept 28thDec 11th

{104}

These times are season turning points.

They are analogous to the Equinoxes and give 12 Zodiac type periods + a thirteenth quantity – the centre.

Zodiac symbols are given these 12 times but they are not astrological hence the term ‘Earthly Zodiac’.

The actual idea involved is this: A pentatonic scale which fits with the 12 tones of a full scale,

The centre is the triple idea that a scale implies – 2 changes in ratio plus a modification at ‘Sol’.

This idea was well known to the ground Zodiac constructor and Sirius the triple dog of the North guards many zodiax yet.

We gave 7 centres of being meditation which answer to the causal component to the human being,

This was to give us an idea of non-material but real energies which all of us have and can build up through inner struggle such that they obey our will.  Causal energy manifests in weather phenomena.

We read Mr Adams’s article on Seismia and commented that higher emotion was the energy connected with this half, with which our polarity, sexuality can be used to synthesize more but different energy which will aid the course of our life.  We were unable to continue further elucidations:–

The Nervous System has 10 components which are:

Eye blinkNavelStomachyawnthroatbreast (breath)excretionvomitwhole bodyWhole body, which doesn’t leave till we die.

The yawn brings causal energy.

The eye blink can be used to bring in mental energy (light).

The whole body nerve is one of Reich’s orgone complex.

Seismia should be done preferably on a waning moon.

Waxing moon is drier, waning moon is wetter in weather.

The 4 active physical organs of the human body mentioned are the basis of its life, and can draw light out of the 7 chakras.  If this is done correctly, our

MESOCOSMIC 4 ELEMENTS

This doctrine applies to earth but is all but lost.  We do have Mann’s 4 time cycles as a key.

on the Mayan Cakun (four-in-one)
  27AD
36005BC 41 AD3780
  2268BC
  3843½

Full explanation is too complicated for the present article but 3843½ years = 1 403 811 days = Mayan Long Count.  The 3600 is not necessarily of years.  If Mayan it means 10 units of 18 × 20 days.  The Mayan BAKtun is 202 of such units = 394·2 solar years.  The 4750 and 3780 are not necessarily solar years.  Gurdjieff gives out of survival of Sumerian knowledge 389 solar years = 1 OBJECTIVE YEAR (1922 was start of one such), this is the nearest approach of SAMOS to SELOS, two stars.  They are not named.  389 and 394·2 bear some comparison.{105}

Even if you don’t know what these mean or don’t even want to know, put these on the Geomancer’s Compass that you may wish to make up.  The 4 elements are cyphers for 4 great energies/spirits/archangels that control our destinies much as geomancy does – if we knew more.

Editor’s Note: Stephen brings up the interesting possibility of constructing a British geomancer’s compass.  Perhaps such an item once existed, and may still exist in some dusty museum.  Analysis of landscape features around major sites (Glastonbury, Durham etc.) may reveal common trends which can be reconciled with the use of a compass in ancient times.
