Zimbabwe

May-June 2010

These paintings are a mixture iof watercolour notes taken while traveling around the eastern highlands of Zimbabwe, and watercolours and oils worked up on my return. The strong light, dramatic skys, and vibrant colours of thos region are as extraordinary as the people are in spite of all they have gone through.
