A few photos from a trip round the ring road and across the central highlands of Iceland,
July-August 2014. Organized by a geography teacher at a local school in Trier

The bus.
Some of the waterfalls: Seljalandsfoss, Gullfoss, Dettifoss, Svartifoss.
South-east: Vatnajökull, the largest ice cap in Europe, and Jökulsárlón, the lake on the edge of the glacier.
East coast: Djúpivogur and Fáskrúðsfjörður.
Central highlands, Landmannalaugar, Herðubreið.
North: Hverir geothermal area.
North coast, Húsavík.
North: Glaumbaer, turf houses, now a museum.
Fjords.
And a wee church in the middle of nowhere: Eiríksstaðir.
