TO THE EDITOR OF THE “SOUTH WALES ARGUS.”

Dear Sir,—It may interest some of your correspondents to know that Barrack-lane, from Risca-road to the Allt-yr-Yn Hospital, is situated in the rural parish of St. Woollos—a parish unique, I think, as it possesses neither church, chapel, public-house, schoolroom, nor pauper, but has its own Parish Council and overseers (vide Johns’ Directory). Barrack-hill, in the Borough of Newport, has not changed its name.—Yours truly,
ST. WOOLLOS PARISH.
