My dearest Girlie
Thanks for your letter of yesterday’s date. Am delighted to learn you are having such a good time. You seem in good spirits & that is essential. Have been very busy today & not had any time to spare. I engaged Knowles to come down on Monday also the "rag-time" specialist Gilpin. I phoned Miss Cooper but as she is on holidays intent it was hardly fair to ask her to take a day trip down from Scotland. I may communicate with Barlasch tomorrow but am afraid he is still away. Had a long walk with Jones last evening & I feel quite fit & perky with all the exercise I have had.
Of course I’m coming up on Friday you ask some very funny questions don’t you? Awfully sorry to learn that mother is rather seedy. Please give her my love & tell I look forward to the lobster supper. Don’t think this letter is abrupt altho’ it looks like it. I am in anorrible rush. Let me know what time & what station you arrive at on Friday. Will do my utmost to meet you unless you prefer me not to. All my dearest love sweetheart
