The Spanish and Portuguese Jews' Congregation of London has published several volumes of its records: they can be found in libraries such as the Cambridge University Library or the London Metropolitan Archive or they may be purchased from the Archivist. This page outlines the contents of each volume; background information is available on the Bevis Marks web-site. Some are now also available as part of JewishGen's UK databases.

I have transcribed some of the Melhado records to help trace my family. In the early records, there is mention of one Ishac LOPES MELHADO, a 'bachelor member of the congregation' in around 1684. His children are the only Melhados in the early births.
