The Wetherspoon's at Liverpool St station, London, where the 700pt barrier was finally broken, beating the previous biggest word: quintessentially (688), which has subsequently been beaten for length also (see above).  The scoreboard at the Mitre, Cambridge. Not spectacular, but does contain a personal favourite in 7th place.  Getting XEROGRAPHIC at the Mitre made Ernest W. Quality the first player to get a national-scoreboard-qualifying word beginning with every letter of the alphabet.  A below-bog-standard clearance of 1639 at the ATEI fair won us £20, since the machines were on super easy mode to attract buyers from the trade. Unfortunately, the prize money was not paid out...  The Playhouse, Colchester. Bob and his brother Stephen (hence VB S) got what was once the World Record score of 2135, and have since established many other high scores on this machine.  New College Oxford. The local quizlings made it their sworn duty to defeat the mythical Vaginal Bob, and eventually did. Never mind, we'll just go back next year and shit on their doorstep again.  The board at the Turl Bar, Oxford, featuring an old World Record score of 2070.  The Antiquity Hall pub in Oxford, with the older World Record 2015, the first time the 2000 barrier was broken.  The highest-scoring words board at the Marlborough Arms. Dave and Jon's method of trying to build one large word per go (taking small sad words to arrange the big word), means they have brilliant words boards, but their overall scores are not generally high.
