2018: Germany, Trier, Karl Marx's 200th birthday.

Karl Marx was born in Trier, Germany, on 5 May 1818. On his 200th birthday a statue was unveiled.
From May to October exhibitions and lectures were held about his life and work.

was unveiled on 5 May 2018.

When Marx was editor of Rheinische Zeitung he reported
on the problems of the wine growers in the Moselle valley.
