Bürgerpark

The Bürgerpark is a large landscape garden,
designed in the 1800s, covering over 200 hectares,
just north of the main town centre.
It has restaurants, a small zoo, and miles of paths
for walking and horse riding.

Böttcherstraße

The Böttcherstraße is a street in the old town.
Most of the buildings were designed in the 1920s.

Schnoorviertel

Schnoor is a neighbourhood in the medieval town centre.
It was an area in which ropes and cables were produced for shipping.
Plattdeutsch, Low German, Schnoor, Snoor = Schnur = string, rope.
