TUNNELS UNDER LONDON
is Nigel Pennick’s latest publication from FENRIS-WOLF detailing the system of underground tunnels built for the railway companies, waterworks and the military. The complete story of the building of the little-known NEW TUBE SHELTERS of WW2 and the new tube which was never opened shows how the wartime underground works fit in with the new tube lines of the 60s and 70s. Also dealt with is the underground telephone exchange, hidden beneath the streets unannounced for 25 years, the GPO cable tunnels and other secret bunkers. Only 65p incl. post from IGR.

Highways & Byways in Geomancy cr: Ken Clarke The Mosquito aircraft of World War II was a wooden plane whose parts were made by small subcontractors. The smallest of these was Mr & Mrs B.A. Hale of “Fung-Shui”, Old Welwyn, Herts. They had retired from a life in the Far East and during the war produced hundreds of bonding flexes in a garden shed.
