IMAP

IMAP allows you to view and manage your email directly on the server so that you can log in from multiple locations and still see all your email.

POP3

POP3 by default downloads email to your computer, although it can be set to leave a copy on the server as well. You cannot log in from multiple locations as your email will be stored on your computer/mobile rather than the server. These emails will also not be backed up on the servers.

SMTP

Simple Mail Transfer Protocol. Allows you to send email using an email program such as Outlook, Thunderbird, or from a mobile phone.

Nicknames

A nickname is another address that receives email into the same Inbox as your primary email address.

Having a nickname can be handy if you get married and your old surname is part of your current email address, or if you just want a different address without having to check more than one email account.

You get a number of nicknames included with your email account. If you need more they are available to purchase.

You can also have simple webhosting

Simple webhosting supports plain html pages with standard image formats. There is no server side scripting (e.g. PHP) or database support.

You will be given FTP access to upload and publish pages such as your online CV, personal webpages and photo galleries.
