New 2010 Onoto Fountain Pen
New 2010 Onoto Pens are now available. What better way to mark a significant event than with a magnificent Onoto pen which bears the University of Cambridge shield on the top of the pen cap and, optionally, the shield of your college in full colour, embedded into the end of the barrel. All pens have the words 'University of Cambridge 2010' engraved around a sterling silver band plated in 23ct gold on the cap. Options include gold plated, silver and black acrylic. We are delighted to announce our 2011 tour to the Antarctic Peninsula. The towering walls of ice and glistening glaciers of the world's last untouched continent inspire awe, whilst the abundant summer wildlife of whales, penguins, leopard seals and multitudinous birds contrast with the mesmerising yet inhospitable look of the trackless landscape. Alumni Weekend 2010
Booking for the 20th Alumni Weekend is now open. This three day event takes place from Friday 24 - Sunday 26 September 2010 and attracts alumni, and their guests back to Cambridge from all over the world for a stimulating programme of lectures, tours and events (and just a little punting, lunching and reminiscing). Shortly after you leave the University, your student @cam.ac.uk account will be terminated. Thereafter, you will be entitled to use the lifetime alumni email service provided by the Alumni Office.
Your address will look like:
your.name@cantab.net
As well as being a useful continuation of your University identity and an easy way to keep in touch with your peers, the address will also come in very useful in the next phase of your life:
Account Options
These email addresses have two account types - Webmail and Enhanced:
- Webmail - A FREE FOR LIFE email account offering email forwarding and webmail-only access to a limited 10MB account. You can also use this service to forward your mail elsewhere.
- A 1000MB option (the WebmailPLUS account), is also available for just £4.99/year.
- Enhanced - A fully featured email service starting from 250MB (up to several GB) supporting full connectivity via POP3/IMAP/Mobile Phone/SMTP. After a long free trial period this account is maintained from just £4.99/year.
- Personal webhosting can be added to all Enhanced account levels for £5.00/year.
The Alumni Relations Office generously sponsors the first 12 months' usage at the Enhanced-level of service for all leavers who register by 31st December of their leaving year, giving enough storage space to migrate university data and fully trial the service.
Applications from past alumni will receive 3 months' free Enhanced-level service.
